Our Learning

The aim of our curriculum is to focus on building children’s core skills of reading, writing and maths across all subjects. It is well organised and driven by the needs of pupils. It provides memorable experiences; pupils are engaged and behaviour is positive. The curriculum enables all pupils to achieve well according to their starting points and capabilities; subjects are linked to enhance learning.

Springfield School uses three key dispositions to support learning: Care, Aspiration and Achievement. The curriculum is broad and balanced and ensures pupils are ready for life in modern Britain. We promote an appreciation of diversity and fundamental British values, as well as an awareness of the rich cultural and geographic heritage that growing up in Jersey offers.

A range of varied lunchtime and After School Clubs are well-subscribed and highly valued by parents and children. Children will experience at least four Residential Trips in their time at Springfield School and will have the opportunity to learn a range of musical instruments.
